Financial Manager

As our Financial Manager, you will be the backbone of Finwerken’s internal financial operations and strategic planning. We are scaling rapidly, and we need a finance professional who loves numbers, values clean administration, and understands how to translate financial data into growth strategies.

You will manage our day-to-day financial health, oversee compliance, and help us model the future of our SaaS business (tracking key metrics like ARR, LTV, and Churn).

• Location: Utrecht / Hybrid

• Commitment: Full-time (32–40 hours)

• Language: Dutch & English (fluent)

What You Will Do

• Financial Control & Reporting: Oversee daily bookkeeping, invoicing, ledger management, and monthly/quarterly closings.

• SaaS Metrics & FP&A: Build and maintain financial models, track key SaaS KPIs, and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.

• Compliance & Tax: Manage VAT (BTW) filings, corporate tax preparation, and ensure full compliance with Dutch accounting standards.

• Process Automation: Walk the talk—use modern financial tech and automate our own internal workflows to keep our finance department lean and efficient.

• Treasury & Cash Flow: Manage runway, cash flow forecasting, and optimize vendor relationships.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or control (ideally within a Dutch startup, scale-up, or accounting firm).

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field.

• Tech-Savvy: Strong familiarity with modern cloud accounting tools and ERP systems. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills are a must.

• Mindset: Analytical, highly organized, and comfortable with the ambiguity of a growing SaaS company. You don't just find discrepancies; you solve them.
